The historic Bárez Díaz Pharmacy, located in the old town of Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), has carried out a project to modernize its shop window using a comprehensive digital signage solution, which combines transparent LED technology, intelligent content management and automatic brightness control.

The installation was carried out by the integrator company IT Plus , using technology distributed by Charmex , and consists of:
  • Traulux T-GLASS-FIX-100 transparent LED screen , composed of 10 cabinets of 100×50 cm , making a total screen of 200x250 cm, with pitch 3.9–7.8 mm and brightness of 5,000 nits , ideal for commercial shop windows due to its ultra-thin design and high visibility.
  • Novastar MCTRL600 LED processor, which receives content from the Samsung player and transmits it to the screen, ensuring stable and precise management.
  • Samsung SBB-SS08NV2XEN player, based on the SSSP 6.0 platform, which allows the playback of UHD content.
  • Samsung MagicINFO Unified Player 2 software license (BW-MIP70PA), which allows for the planning, publishing, and remote monitoring of content, integrating the solution into a centralized management platform.

This solution allows the pharmacy to showcase health campaigns, promotions of strategic products, and dermocosmetic content, aligned with its social media posts, increasing visibility and reinforcing the customer experience.

“We wanted to communicate the changes we are implementing, as well as our promotions and services, in an easy and widespread way. The transparent LED screen allows us to reach more neighbors and families, reinforcing the customer experience and our role as a leading pharmacy,” explains Celia Bárez Díaz, owner of the pharmacy.


AV innovation applied to pharmaceutical retail

The Traulux T-Glass FIX has become a new channel for visual communication, maintaining the aesthetic of the historic shop window while offering a striking digital experience. In addition, Farmacia Bárez Díaz has implemented other technological solutions as part of its modernization process:
  • Dispensing robot that optimizes medication management.
  • Cashlogy system, for automated cash management.
  • Digitization of processes and online presence, strengthening interaction with customers and the efficiency of the point of sale.

The location of the shop window, opposite the village school and in a high-traffic pedestrian area, maximizes the visibility and impact of the contents during peak times.

The installation in a historic shop window involved technical challenges:
  • Aesthetic and structural integration of the screen without affecting the original facade.
  • Brightness and contrast adjustment to maintain glare-free daytime visibility.
  • Team training in content management software and visual campaign planning.
Charmex and IT Plus worked closely with the pharmacy to ensure an efficient content flow and optimal visual impact, ensuring the training of the team that manages it in the pharmacy, so that the AV solution met both technical and communication objectives.
