Today, Santo Ángel Calasancias in Ourense is a multilingual school known for continually adapting to the methodological and innovation demands that arise around the education system. In this spirit, since late 2023 it has brought modern audiovisual solutions into its classrooms, made up of monitors from the new Traulux Standard series and integrated Google EDLA OPS modules.
Advised by the integrator ECR2000 with Charmex as value-added supplier, the school has installed Standard series interactive monitors in 12 classrooms. These are designed to be used with an external device, as they have no embedded operating system. The chosen solution includes 12 75-inch Traulux TLM75S interactive monitors, together with optional Google EDLA OPS modules running Android 13. These modules give the monitor access to the versatility of Google Workspace, with a variety of educational apps, with certified Google Play.
According to the school, these new resources have significantly improved classroom dynamics, encouraging more interactive lessons and greater pupil participation, from the youngest children through to secondary students.

Having replaced their projector-based digital whiteboards, they now use the monitors to teach, and among the improvements they highlight is the way they encourage active pupil participation. This has contributed to the Cooperative Learning (CL) model present in their classrooms, where the curriculum of each subject is developed through group work dynamics, encouraging interaction among pupils and redefining the way of teaching and learning.
“The installation company, ECR200, has helped us during the roll-out with training for the teachers. In these sessions, the teachers have learnt how to get the most out of these tools and are very satisfied,” the school points out.
The monitor plus OPS module set, which slots into the side, has an Android 13 processor with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM. The monitor is set to display the Android OPS module directly, and when it is switched off the OPS switches off at the same time.
