With separate areas for LED visual systems, both for rental and for fixed installation, and interactive equipment, Traulux by Charmex's latest appearance at the 2023 edition of ISE gains exhibition space (Hall 5 – Stand H500) to show off major new products from the brand, after the warm reception its technology received at the previous edition of the show in Barcelona.

The tour of its space with Digital AV begins with the new products for the rental market, where a T-Rent MiniLed system stands out, a technology chosen by Charmex for the development of Traulux indoor LED displays for this environment, with a ‘4-in-1’ solution made up of four SMD LED lamps integrated in a single package, which achieves brightness levels of up to 1,500 nits and covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Another key feature of MiniLed is the mechanical strength provided by soldering the ‘4-in-1’ packages onto the printed circuit board, increasing impact resistance to four times that of a conventional SMD LED, a major advantage for audiovisual equipment rental companies in terms of maintenance costs and safer assembly.

The stand features a spectacular T-Rent MiniLed XR version display, with a pixel pitch of 2.6 mm and refresh rates of up to 7,680 Hz, ideal for virtual sets, extended reality film studios, film and advertising content producers and so on. Charmex is also exhibiting this model at the show in the NovaStar space at ISE (Hall 3 – Stand B850). T-Rent MiniLed XR has cabinets capable of scanning at 1/8 and 1/16, with optimum DCI-P3 colour reproduction to generate the most realistic content for any demanding production, and a curving system designed specifically for virtual sets at 3 and 6 degrees.

The ‘brain’ of this system, as Oscar Erta, BDM of the LED department at Charmex Internacional, explains, is the powerful MX40-Pro processor, a modular NovaStar solution designed specifically for stages and virtual sets where camera recording is essential. It effectively solves image management problems with black field and scan lines, avoiding flickering or frequency mismatches between the cameras and the LED display.

Another option for the rental market that visitors can see is the T-Rent display with a 3.9 mm pixel pitch for curved designs, offering a brightness of 5,500 nits. The company also has another system for configuring this curved option for outdoor use with a pixel pitch of just 2.9 mm and 4,000 nits of brightness.

All-in-one LED systems for fixed installation

The new Traulux All-in-One systems, designed by Qstech, provide a complete solution, especially suited to meeting rooms, auditoriums and other indoor corporate environments that call for a large, easy-to-install LED display with a single power cable, such as the one shown on the stand at 120” with a 1.3 mm pitch, also available at 138” with a 1.58 mm pitch.

This system, with 1,920×1,080p resolution and an elegant design, offers advantages for the integrator “as it is packaged to simplify logistics, transport and installation, avoiding unwanted breakages”, says Erta. They also include speakers and USB-C/HDMI connectivity, and can be controlled from mobile devices with pre-installed proprietary software.

Another new fixed installation product is a Jfix model for indoor use with a 3.9 mm pitch and another for outdoor use at 2.9 mm, joined by a SlimFix for shop windows, with a 2.6 mm pixel pitch and 3,000 nits of brightness, and an outdoor option at 4,500 nits with a 2.9 mm pitch. The stand shows models from the Qfix range in 1.8 and 2.5 mm pixel pitches, while the innovation in the Wfix series, at 1.8 and 2.6 mm pitch, is a 45” model with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Interactive monitors for business and education

Certified as the first interactive monitor for Google Chrome OS, the new product at ISE is the Traulux TLM11, a versatile proposition designed to meet every need in the education sector, available in 65” and 75”, “with three different configurations to choose from and app downloads, something teachers were asking for, and it also includes Google Meet”, explains Daniel Galindo, BDM of the interactive department at Charmex Internacional.

This Traulux device “was developed in partnership with Asus and Google, so that the Chromebox engine can be integrated, although we also offer the option of adding a Windows module, which is why there are three configurations”, he points out.

The Basic option is a simple monitor with a whiteboard app and annotation layer, plus a QR code for sharing, designed for use with an external device, whether Windows, Mac OS, ChromeBook or Linux. It can be upgraded to either of the two other options: pre-installed Chrome OS, or Windows 11 Pro.

Also for the education and corporate environment, the Traulux TX90 series of interactive monitors stands out, shown on the stand in a 75” size, although it is also available in 65” and 86”, with the Android 9.0 operating system, 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM.

“It is the most responsive monitor with the greatest writing accuracy on the market, 5 ms / 1 mm on Android and on Windows -Galindo stresses-, with 4K wireless presentation to share content without losing quality, and it offers direct integration of video conferencing bars via USB-C and a USB-C port with 65 Watt charging”.
